I got home from New York last weekend and since then I've been staying up until early morning, sleeping until noon, planning the next trip in my head and spending time with friends.

I had alot of fun overseas. We mostly hung out at great restaurants and cafés and took very long walks around the city. I got around to see a few paintings I've been wanting to see by Van Gogh and Klimt, bought lots of Skittles and saw Yeasayer at Webster Hall (one of the trips' highlights. Anyone want to join me and get a day pass at Arvika when they're playing this summer?)

In May I'm finally getting away for a week. I'm heading to New York for some relaxing, concerts, shopping and many hours of brunch in the sun. Are there any places I must visit or stores I shouldn't miss? Last time I was there I was 10 or 11 so it's been a while.

I need help. I want to get a jean jacket but can't decide if I want a light wash or a little darker. It has to be fitted and not too stone washed (not like the one I had when I was 13 with matching jeans. The horror). Right now it's between these two. Thoughts?

So this Spring I'm thinking of getting myself something a little extra than my usual H&M and Topshop loot. I went to Cheap Monday's fashion show the other week as part of the Stockholm Fashion Week and it got me inspired to check out all the great Swedish designers for Spring. I've become a little obsessed with this cap from Minimarket that I'm seriously thinking of getting. I want one in black.

I'm also leaning towards getting a basic sheer Acne t-shirt.

And a girl can dream right? This fantastic blue Acne dress.

I've been spending my time looking at different tumblr for fantastic pictures and inspiring quotes. I've also been caught up in my tv schedule (True Blood, Veronica Mars, Mad Men).

Last week I went and saw Inglourious Basterds and during dinner before the screening we had a long conversation about Tarantino and how he always shows off what a geek he is and how he should work with Robert Rordiguez more often. After that conversation I was a little worried, but not for long, the film was fantastic. Brad Pitt didn't steal the scenes, Christoph Waltz did. I can't say enough how great he was in that movie and I even want

to see it for a second time while it's still in the cinema.

I went to Bob Dylans concert last night. Still not quite well I hadn't thought much about it until I was on the subway on the way to Globen. He had a smaller concert the night before and had got kind of bad reviews because of not conecting with the audience enough. Well last night he was pretty cheerful, he even took a few dance steps around the stage and said "Thank you friends", if that was meant to the audience or his band, we don't know. His band is amazing, every song was very different from the original and it sounded incredible. My favorite part was when he sung "How does it feel" from Like a Rolling Stone. <3

I was a bit surpriced with the whole intro though. This dark voice going on about him and then ending it with talking about his drug problems and trying to find Jesus in the 90s. wtf.

It was pretty great seeing him on stage and you forget everything around you for a moment. Being in the same room as Bob Dylan is pretty awesome (ignoring the fact that so are thousands of other people).

I went to bed last night hoping today would be fever free but this morning I had an even higher fever so I've been lying on the couch pretty much all day, looking through random 'famous' fashion blogs (80% of them is all about shiny leggings, high heels with lots of golden buckets and studs, way too short skirts, fur and red nail polish. So cliché!), I've also been watching everything from Grey's Anatomy to cook along live with Gordon Ramsey (not live here of though). Of course there's never a good time to get sick but it's a really bad time right now with exam coming up, concert and trying to fix my social life. In between feeling sorry for myself and sleeping I've decided to get these items, even though I'm pretty broke.

I also kind of like this cardigan dress. Opinions?

First blog written on my new macbook. I've been quite busy lately, spending alot of time with my new apartment, shopping for furniture and doing alot of painting. New city, new opportunities. I can't wait for spring, warmer weather and hopefully a few trips. I'm planning on going down south in March, maybe even take the train over to Denmark if there's time. I feel a little out of touch with my friends over seas at the moment, which always brings me down a bit. Pointless blog entry, oh well.

I am very excited about my new apartment. I'm moving in as soon as I've painted, bought furniture from IKEA and decided on an Internet company. It's all gone so fast but I'm happy.

I havn't posted here in a while. I'm staying of the net a bit, well trying. Or rather from some sites that gets a bit intense; some communities, Facebook and my guilty pleasure of some celebrity sites. Since my computer is part of me I can't stay all away; youtube, thefashionspot, myspace etc. Anyway, it makes me feel a bit better. I had a lovely night out with some friends last night. Me, my old friend, another good friend and her friend who was visiting over the weekend. We're going to keep in touch because she's going to Vancouver in four weeks and hopefully be there for some time so we're meeting up when I'm coming over. So that's exciting, especially since this week has kicked my but.

I'm going to drive out to a castle today and eat cake, it's the famous Cake Castle and I've never been. zomg!

1. The closest book to me was The Cultural Politics of Emotion by Sara Ahmed. Course literature from my film studies last year, yay fun. Haha. It came in handy for my thesis though, now I'm thinking of selling it to someone in more need of it.

I woke up with a very sore throat today. But I did my exam last week so I can relax for a while before the next course, which feels really good. I'm also very excited about late November. I'm going to London on the 22nd to do some Christmas shopping, relaxing and meet up with a lovely friend. So I'm definitly getting some American Apparel and Topshop stuff while there. Both stores runs alot cheaper over there. Some goodies:

I'm feeling a bit off, like I'm about to get a cold but it doesn't break out so maybe I'm just tired. I'm soon off to Stockholm again, dinner with brother and then early seminar tomorrow morning, then home to exam study (blurgh!) and say bye to parents who are going to Amsterdam over the weekend. Oh, I'm having a little get together here on Friday, should be fun.

I got my first Christmas feelings the other day. I can't wait. Snow, warm coffee in hand, mittens, scarfs, ice crystals on the street, lots of stars, all the lights in the trees and of course all the Christmas movies I love like The Muppets Christmas Carol, The Grinch and Home Alone 2 (the New York one is my favorite!).

I like October though so I'm going to live for the moment. Allthough the leaves have gone from red, yellow, crunchy under my feet to smoshy and slippery and it's getting really cold.

There was something else I was going to say... maybe next entry.

If you dial the wrong number and someone picks up the phone and introduces themselves and then go "hello?" why not just explain that you've called the wrong number instead of just sighing and hanging up. It's not my fault you called the wrong number. I guess I'm a little bitter today.

Thursday ramble

I had such a lovely day yesterday. I felt like I was 13 again. My uni friend came to visit. We spent the whole day in my house, she wanted to hear lots of stories about Vancouver and see all the 800 pics I've got stored on my computer. After almost poisoning her (I made these salmon sandwiches, I had no idea she was allergic to all fish) we ended up watching Dr Who and Bryan Adams videos on youtube, turns out Garwin Sanford was in them and I love him (and he's the nicest person in real life). We took a stroll down town to look for a leather jacket and then had tea at a café before she took the train home. I spent the night watching So You Think You Can Dance.

I'm making a little list of stuff I need when I get money, lots of tri blend 50/50/25 stuff from American Apparel, a jacket for Fall and some new black jeans and simple black trousers. I'm going to take the train up to Stockholm today and spend the night at my brother's place and then tomorrow after my lecture I'm going to do some shopping before going to the rink to watch Pittsburgh Penguins and the Ottawa Senators practice before the NHL kick off on Saturday. I have to leave early to catch the train home though. It's mum's birthday. Busy day tomorrow!

This was an interesting blog entry. It's like reading my journal isn't it? I should bring up more important stuff in the future.

So, GATECON. I hope there has been some innate understanding of how much I enjoyed the experience in Vancouver. I don't think I've written anything to anyone re the joy spot that got hit that weekend. I think, pretty much all aspects were covered and well tended, as well as well AH-ttended. Great group, a gorgeous gaggle of gifted groupies gave gobs of green........ genuinely made things good. Gracias, Gringos.

Another afternoon and I have done nothing I should've done (meet a friend, uni stuff, cleaned, the list goes on). I spent all day yesterday in Stockholm, being busy, and then went to the movies for some relaxing time but the movie was horrible. Don't go see Wanted.

I have plans for tonight, I'm breaking my old lady routine and going downtown because there's some sort of late night cultural festival. I'm going to see my mum's exhibition of paintings that I'm really excited about.

My blog is half Swedish half English right now. I might change it, we'll see.

I've had a hard time getting into the swing of things lately. I'm not spending so much time online as I used to (oh yes, I'm a nerd) but I do miss stuff and friends! I had the most amazing summer. I did some small trips to Copenhagen and London but also spent a couple of weeks in Vancouver, one of the most amazing cities I've ever visited. I'm going back.
